REQUIREMENTS:

Interface: See figure 1. Figure 1 is for illustration purpose only and all referenced drawings and specifications

cover design.

Earphones: 2 required, H-143/AIC, in accordance with MIL-PRF-25670 and MIL-PRF-25670/2.

Accessories: The headset shall be capable of operating with the following, which are not to be supplied as a part

of the headset.

Cord assembly

CX-12973/AR (P/N M22442/20-1) in accordance with MIL-DTL-22442/20.

Cord assembly

CX-12988/AR (P/N M22442/23-1) in accordance with MIL-DTL-22442/23.

(Impedance matching network).

Cord assembly

CX-12974/AR (P/N M22442/21-1) in accordance with MIL-DTL-22442/21.

Cord assembly

CX-12987/AR (P/N M22442/22-1) in accordance with MIL-DTL-22442/22.

(Impedance matching network).

Microphone dynamic -

M-87/AIC in accordance with MIL-PRF-26542/2.

Wiring schematic: See figure 2.

Color: The normal exposed exterior surface of the headset shall be medium gray.

Interchangeability: This headset is functionally interchangeable and replaces headset H-173B/AIC when used

with the included adapter cord.

Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify changes with respect to the previous issue due to the

extent of the changes.
