4.6.1.2.2 Rejected lots. If an inspection lot is rejected, the contractor may rework it to correct the
defects, or screen out the defective units, and resubmit for re-inspection. All failures occurring during
testing shall be documented and investigated to determine root cause. Acceptance of the product shall
be discontinued until corrective action, which is acceptable to the procuring activity, has been taken.
After the corrective action has been taken, the group A inspections shall be repeated (all inspections, or
the inspection which originally failed, at the option of the procuring activity). Approval shall be withheld
until the inspection has shown that the corrective action was successful. If one or more defects are found
in the second sample, the lot shall be rejected and shall not be supplied to this specification.
4.6.1.3 Group B inspection. Group B inspection shall consist of the tests specified in table V and shall
be made on sample units, which have been subjected to and have passed group A inspection.
4.6.1.3.1 Sampling plan. A sample of parts shall be randomly selected in accordance with table IV. If
one or more defects are found, the lot shall be rescreened and defects removed.
